Vienna VA – July 20, 2010—The success story of MicroTech President & CEO Tony Jimenez is featured in the recently-released Smart100 2010 Book — a publication of SmartCEO Magazine — highlighting stories and ideas from Greater Washington’s Top Thought Leaders. He was named earlier in 2010 as a Smart100 CEO of the Year.

Washington SmartCEO Magazine is a regional publication aimed at providing resources each month to help educate, motivate and inspire Washington decision-makers.  The Smart100 is a program created by the publishers to recognize the best of the best of Greater Washington’s business community.

The Tony Jimenez article, “The American Dream,” tells the story of his extraordinary rise from a working class minority family to the top of government contracting arena. “Sitting atop a rapidly growing $185 million company, former Army private Tony Jimenez is a man who is realizing the American Dream — and then some,” the article begins.

“I am honored to be recognized by SmartCEO Magazine and featured in the special Smart100 edition,” saidTony Jimenez. “My success is an indication of the superlative support provided by our outstanding team at MicroTech; highly trained technical professionals; seasoned experts who know the business of government; and military veterans with unique leadership skills only available to those who have served our country. They are all an inspiration to me.”

“A Smart100 CEO is one that is recognized for his…leadership, strategic vision, and character in running a business,” says Jaime Park, Publisher at SmartCEO Magazine. “They span the many industries that are succeeding here in Washington — from IT and government contracting, to staffing and public relations.”

SmartCEO Magazine previously recognized MicroTech in the “Future 50” fast growth award, showcased in the January 2010 Washington area edition.

In the last year, Jimenez’ success as a business leader has led to recognition like the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) “Veteran Champion of the Year,” the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce “Corporate Business Advocate of the Year,” the Virginia Hispanic Chamber “Entrepreneur of the Year,” Federal Computer Week “Federal 100” individuals who significantly influence how the Federal government uses Information Technology, and the Hispanic Committee of Virginia “Hermes Award” as an accomplished community leader.
